This Privacy Policy describes how Mimicry Capture (the “App”) handles information. Mimicry Capture is a macOS companion app that displays and records the screen of an iPhone or iPad connected to the Mac via USB. The App is developed and distributed by Kusumoto Masahiro (the “Developer”).

1. Information We Collect

The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information about its users. The App does not include any analytics SDK, advertising SDK, crash reporting service, or third-party tracker.

2. Device Capabilities We Use

The App requests access to the following device capabilities solely to provide its core functionality:

  • Camera: required so that macOS exposes USB-connected iPhone / iPad as an AVCaptureDevice via CoreMediaIO. The App does not capture the Mac’s built-in camera unless the user explicitly selects it.
  • Microphone: used only when the user enables audio capture during recording. Audio capture is muted by default.
  • USB devices: used to detect USB-connected iPhone and iPad devices.
  • Local Network: used only to deliver captured frames to another local process running on the same Mac via a WebSocket bound to 127.0.0.1 (loopback).

3. Data Transmission

Captured video and audio data never leave the user’s Mac. Data is transmitted only over a WebSocket bound to the loopback address (127.0.0.1) for delivery to other local processes running on the same machine. No data is sent to the Developer or to any third party.

4. Third-Party Sharing

The App does not share any user data with third parties because it does not collect any.

5. Cookies and Tracking

The App is a native macOS application and does not use cookies or any other tracking technology.

6. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for software developers and does not knowingly collect any information from children. Because the App does not collect any information from any user, it does not collect information from children either.

7. Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy is changed in the future, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated through the App’s release notes on the Mac App Store.

本プライバシーポリシーは、Mimicry Capture (以下「本アプリ」) がユーザー情報をどのように 取り扱うかを説明します。本アプリは、USB 接続中の iPhone / iPad の画面を Mac 上で表示・録画するための macOS 用コンパニオンアプリです。本アプリは楠本 真大 (以下「開発者」) が開発・配布しています。

1. 収集する個人情報

本アプリは、ユーザーの個人情報を一切収集・保存・送信しません。アナリティクス SDK、 広告 SDK、クラッシュレポート、その他のサードパーティトラッカーは一切搭載していません。

2. 利用するデバイス機能

本アプリは、機能提供のために以下のデバイス機能を利用します。

  • カメラ: USB 接続された iPhone / iPad を CoreMediaIO 経由で AVCaptureDevice として検出するために必要です。Mac 内蔵カメラはユーザーが明示的に選択しない限り 取得しません。
  • マイク: 録画時に音声取り込みをユーザーが有効化した場合のみ利用します。 デフォルトでは音声はミュートです。
  • USB: USB 接続中の iPhone / iPad を検出するために利用します。
  • ローカルネットワーク: 同一 Mac 上で動作する他のローカルプロセスに対し、 127.0.0.1 (ループバックアドレス) の WebSocket 経由でキャプチャフレームを転送する用途にのみ利用します。

3. データの送信

キャプチャした映像および音声は、ユーザーの Mac の外部へ送信されません。データの送信先は 同一 Mac 上で動作する他のローカルプロセスに限定され、ループバックアドレス (127.0.0.1) 上の WebSocket でのみ転送されます。開発者や第三者のサーバーへ 送信されることはありません。

4. 第三者への提供

本アプリはユーザー情報を一切収集しないため、第三者への提供は発生しません。

5. クッキー・トラッキング

本アプリはネイティブ macOS アプリであり、クッキーやその他のトラッキング技術を 使用しません。

6. 子どもの個人情報

本アプリはソフトウェア開発者向けのツールであり、子どもから情報を意図的に収集することは ありません。本アプリはすべてのユーザーから情報を収集しないため、子どもの情報も収集しません。

7. ポリシーの変更

本プライバシーポリシーを変更する場合は、本ページに更新版を掲載し、最終更新日を 改訂します。重要な変更については、Mac App Store のリリースノート上で告知します。
