Mimicry Capture is a macOS companion app that displays and records the screen of an iPhone or iPad connected to the Mac via USB.

Getting Started

  1. Connect your iPhone or iPad to the Mac with a USB cable.
  2. Launch Mimicry Capture on the Mac.
  3. Pick the connected device from the device list shown in the app window.
  4. The live preview starts immediately. Use the record button to save the stream to a video file, or use the screenshot button to save a still image.

CLI Mode

Mimicry Capture provides a --cli mode for headless use, exposing subcommands such as device, screenshot, record, and serve. Run the app binary with --cli --help to see the available options.

Requirements and Known Limitations

  • macOS 26 or later is required.
  • iPhone / iPad must be connected directly to the Mac via USB. Wireless capture is not supported.
  • Only USB-connected iPhone and iPad devices are supported in this release.

Mimicry Capture は、USB 接続中の iPhone / iPad の画面を Mac 上で表示・録画できる macOS 用コンパニオンアプリです。

使い方

  1. iPhone / iPad を USB ケーブルで Mac に接続します。
  2. Mac で Mimicry Capture を起動します。
  3. アプリのデバイス一覧から、接続したデバイスを選択します。
  4. ライブプレビューが表示されます。録画ボタンで映像をファイルに保存、スクリーンショット ボタンで静止画を保存できます。

CLI モード

Mimicry Capture は --cli オプションによるヘッドレスモードを備えており、 device / screenshot / record / serve の各サブコマンドを利用できます。利用可能なオプションは --cli --help でご確認ください。

動作要件と既知の制約

  • macOS 26 以降が必要です。
  • iPhone / iPad は USB ケーブルで Mac に直結する必要があります。ワイヤレスキャプチャは サポートしていません。
  • 本リリースでは USB 接続された iPhone / iPad のみを対象としています。
